This week I've been....(Part 1!)

Getting lost in a maze at Cliveden House (a big stately home near where we live.)

Apparently Sarah Harding is getting married there this year (that's according to Andy by the way - slightly ashamed he knows more celebrity gossip than me!)

Stocking up on some new summer tops

Drinking my first Pimms of the year

Walking by the river and throwing in sticks for Eddie to fetch

This is a slight variation on my normal this week post as like most of the UK we've been out and about making the most of the unseasonal sunshine these past few days so I haven't had time to accumulate many loves, loathes or lusts.

I've got the next few days of work so will do a 'part 2' photo round-up later in the week to make up for it!

This week I've been....

Nailing a bargain by getting a bottle of Bourjois foundation for just £4! Boots are offering Healthy Mix for £6.99 at the mo and I got an extra £3 off using April's discount voucher from the booklet I mentioned in this post. I know its not mega-bucks but £6 isn't to be sniffed at! :)

Now I know that Primark jewellery isn't of the highest quality but I've worn this ring just twice and the gold colour has literally rubbed straight off so its now half silver :( I completely understand that you get what you pay for but only being able to wear something twice feels like a bit of a rip-off to me!

To cheer myself up from the aforementioned jewellery disaster I picked up some new earrings at the weekend - I love the pinky-coral colour of the Dotty P ones and the gold knot studs remind me of the jewellery my mum used to wear in the early 90s (in a good way of course!)

to Michael McIntyre's autobiography Life & Laughing. I bought this on audiobook download for the train ride to see my mum and spent most of the journey laughing out loud much to the amusement of people in my carriage. If you love Michael then you should definitely get this - its hilarious!

I tried this Dotty P's dress on a few weeks ago whilst visiting my my mum but was undecided about whether to get it so figured I'd have a think and buy it online.....only to find it was out of stock on the web and in all of my nearby stores. Naturally now I can't have it I need it! Booooooo!

This week I've been...

Catching up with old friends on Friday night over dinner and a few too many glasses of prosecco. Also adoring the effect that the 17 crackle nail polish I mentioned in this post creates. Here it is over from left to right: Collection 2000 Hot Looks polish in Wham, Missguided polish in Miscellaneous and Nails Inc's Jermyn Street...

Having the sniffles. I know its only a cold, I know that I should just suck it up and get on with it but the constant sneezing and rudolph-esque red nose are making me feel super sorry for myself. Kleenex, lockets and lemon tea are my new besties :-/

I've had a frugal week in the shopping stakes. All I picked up were these black rose stud earrings from Superdrug for just 99p....

...and a bottle of Lee Stafford's 'I Hate my Hair the Day it's Washed' solution spray which promises to rid you of the frizz, static and flyaways associated with freshly washed hair.

With the arrival of the gorgeous warm weather I'm feeling an urgent need to summer-ise my wardrobe starting with a cute pair of espadrille pumps - here's some of the ones on offer from Dotty P's that have caught my eye..

This week I've been....

Spending time with my mummy. She lives in the Lake District which is about 250 miles away from where I am so I don't get to see her nearly as often as I'd like. I went up for a visit this weekend but didn't tell her I was coming so that it could be a surprise for mother's day. This is me and the mothership back in 2008 when she remarried & I was her bridesmaid - very surreal to be in the wedding party for one of your parents :)

Having to pay a customs charge on a recent order from the US. Actually, the customs fee I can cope with - its the additional £8 handling charge that Royal Mail added on that really stings :( 

I finally got my paws on some camel jeans. After the ASOS ones I ordered didn't fit I actually changed tactics and got them from Miss Selfridge instead. This is what they look like...

Jean like and camel coloured not surprisingly..! Sorry for the stock picture too, being a proper lazy bum! I also got some nice bits & bobs whilst at my mum's but will do a proper haul post on them some time this week.

Cucumber sandwiches, scones, cakes and champers! For mother's day I treated my ma to afternoon tea at a hotel overlooking Lake Windemere. This was the stunning view out over the gardens and lake...

and this was the scrummy view of our table laden with goodies!
