Swatched: No7 Xmas Nail Colour Set

I got this set as an Xmas pressie from the the fella but sadly my nails are in such an awful state from a set of gel extensions I had put on for my bestie's wedding that I haven't been able to try them out. Anyway to cut a long story short I picked up some nail wheels off ebay so I could at least share the lovely colours with you guys whilst I wait longingly for my nails get their act together!

The set contains five 4ml polishes which are from left to right: Totally Teal, Milan, Temptress, Rose Truffle & Betty Blues. All the polishes are No7's Stay Perfect formulation which promises 'beautiful glossy colour that stays perfect for up to five days'.

They applied really smoothly (especially good for Milan which I feared may be gritty but isn't - yey!) and left a lovely glossy finish. Colour pay-off is pretty good - Temptress needed 3 coats to become fully opaque but all the others needed just 2. Obviously by swatching these on the nail wheel I can't test their lasting power but scanning the customer reviews on Boots.com I can't see any glaring issues with it. Should I discover any different when I get to try them properly I'll be sure to yell!

The pics don't do Betty Blues any justice - its a rich dark navy with the finest glitter running through it which just doesn't show up properly above. Although this is a Xmas set almost all of the shades seem to be permanent and available from Boots in a full size 10ml bottle for £7.00 (they're also running a 3 for 2 offer on No7 at the mo.) The only one I couldn't find in store and which isn't listed online either was Rose Truffle but there are plenty available on Ebay if it takes your fancy.

Until next time,

  3. @ Lila Loves - its fab isn't it - I wasn't expecting to like it as I hardly ever wear glittery polishes but its changed my mind!

@ Barbie - the wheels are really cool, so easy to paint and make the polishes look way better than my nails ever could!
