Tiny Haulage

Hi everybody hope you're all well and enjoying the downhill ride towards the weekend!

I got back from my work trip yesterday which was tiring but productive. Copenhagen was really nice but slightly ruined by a couple of rather large fails on my part. I flew out early on Sunday so I could do some shopping before my meetings started on Monday not realising that the shops in Denmark are only open the first Sunday of the month so were all shut :( I decided all was not lost and I could still do the cultural/sightseeing thing....only to find that Andy had taken the memory card out of the camera so I couldn't even take any decent photos!

All was not lost though on the shopping front as in the airport on the way home I managed to snaffle this little beauty....

Marquise D  from the infamous Wonder Woman collection. This is my first limited edition Mac product and I can see why they attract so much attention - the packaging is just wicked.....

I never keep the boxes for anything but I definitely won't be throwing this one away! Here's a quick swatchy for your perusal too...

So I'm off to get some tea and get some more posts written up - my first Haus of Gloi order arrived whilst I was away so will  be back to share that soon and I'm working on a hair history post too - if I can bear to share the piccies!! :)

Until next time,

A little Boots haul

Just a few bits that I picked up from good old Boots this afternoon...

The TRESemme Vibrantly Smooth shampoo and Nourish & Renew conditioner are a whooping 500ml each and were on a two for £4.50 offer (Not bad for a litre of product!) I've never used TRESemme products before but hope they're good because its going to take me ages to use them up! I also grabbed a bottle of tea tree oil too which I'm going to use on a couple of annoying bad skin breakouts :(

Whilst picking up a new bottle of my beloved Healthy Mix from the Bourjois stand, their Delice de Poudre bronzer caught my eye. Of late I've been using the E.l.f Blush and Bronze Duo but am finding the bronzer is a a bit too dark and making my skin look almost dirty in the wrong light - not a good look! I've read many a positive post about the Bourjois bronzer so snapped it up in shade 52. The first thing I did on opening it up was get a sniff of its lovely chocolately fragrance. Nom!

There was a 3 for 2 offer on Bourjois bits so I also grabbed a blush pot in Lilas D'Or - the packaging is Limited Edition and very cute. As well as the 3 for 2, by buying three items you also get a gwp in the form of a Bourjois travel card holder (that I don't really have much need for) and a booklet of vouchers which offers monthly savings on various Bourjois products  (that I have lots of need for!)

Finally a couple of swatches of the bronzer and blush for you...I'm slightly alarmed at how orange the bronzer looks but will try and reserve judgement until I've given it a proper road test  :- /

What's in my bag..?

Hi y'all! Hope you're having a good evening :)

Alongside beauty storage this type of post is another of my favourites to read on other blogs so it was high time I did my own. As you'll see I carry a sh*t load of stuff around with me...! I haven't included a photo of my actual bag as its a just a plain black slouchy leather thing from Next...so straight on to the contents!

First up we've got the 'functional' stuff which includes an umbrella (a british necessity!), my glasses which I need mainly for reading/computer work and my work pass which I keep in my bag at all times otherwise I can't get into work and (more importantly!) can't buy any lunch :) My keys also live in my bag so that I don't have early morning stress attacks trying to find them - the keyring is from a recent primark haul.

My purse is from Topshop and was a pressie from Andy a couple of birthdays ago. My iphone also comes everywhere with me - I was a latecomer to the Apple party but now can't imagine living without it (as sad as that is!) The little orange case that it lives in was an H&M bargain. The Nokia brick next to it is my work phone which I hate having to carry as it makes you in theory permanently contactable :- /

The two little bottles you can see are a Vicks FirstDefence nasal spray which (although gross to use) is amazing at warding off a cold and a minty breath spray from Superdrug as I hate chewing gum. Naturally I found a stash of old receipts at the bottom of my bag and of course a pen (probably 'borrowed' from work - I haven't bought a pen in years!)

Now onto the beauty bits...first up is my carry around make up bag (from Primark) which houses my touch up kit of concealer, lippie, mascara, eyeliner and blush. The pink bottle is the Body Shop's Vitamin E facial spritz which is fab for perking up a flagging face of make up. The red pot is Schwarzkopf Dust It volumising powder which I use as dry shampoo (far more portable than a whopping big can of Batiste!)

I always carry a hair clip for when my fringe is getting in the way and of course a brush. The nail file/buffer is from H&M and I always have an antibacterial hand gel nearby (I'm a bit OCD with germs!) The alcohol in it is really drying though so I always have to use hand cream straight afterwards - this little tube was a Body Shop gwp.

I usually have a few stray painkillers in my bag and a lip balm too. The one I'm currently using is a Burner Balm (it doesn't work for me at all but it smells pretty!) The purple tube is a Clean and Clear blemish gel so I can catch any nasty spots as soon as they dare to appear. Last but not least I have my pedometer (should really be 'on' me and not in my bag but I wear it when I remember!) and Lush's Whoosh temple balm - I use this at work when I'm having a stressy moment and it helps me to not bite anyone's head off re-focus.

So I hope you've enjoyed this little tour through the contents of my bag - feel free to use this post as a tag if you fancy sharing yours!

Until next time,

A century of followers :) :) :)

Just got a lovely surprise logging in and seeing that at some point last night/today I’ve hit triple figures in the reader department.

Like most bloggers I had no idea on starting out whether anyone would be interested in me blathering on about my beauty product obsession but it seems that a fair few of you are which is such a lovely feeling. It’s made my Monday!

Source

An enormous thank you to everyone who has read or commented on allthingsbloggedandbeautiful over the last few months and for introducing me to your fabulous blogs too. The community feel of beauty blogging is definitely what inspires me to keep on posting.

To say a proper thanks to you all I will be hosting a giveaway over the next couple of weeks so keep any eye out for that..

This week I've been....

Spending time with the bestie. We haven't got together in what feels like forever but managed a catch up this week and trotted off to an adult ballet class which was so much fun (although really hard work - my leg muscles are killing me!) Also loving finally getting my hands on some goodies from the 17 Spring collection - namely the Metallic Nudes palette and Va Va Voom lipgloss in So Buff. Boots are running a good old 3 for 2 on 17 at the moment so I picked up the Photo Flawless primer too which meant the lipgloss was freeeeee :)

That the weekends fly by so quickly and that its almost Monday morning again. That its costing me an absolute fortune to fill up my car with petrol when there are no many more exciting and pretty things to be bought with my money. That I can't find my Mac high tea lippie - I think its under the bed but I can't be arsed to venture under there to retrieve it!

Sweeties....

We ventured out this afternoon for a stroll round a local village and stopped of at an old fashioned sweet stop. Cue a pounds worth of mini jelly babies and aniseed balls (yep I have v. random taste in sweets!) I'm polishing them off whilst I write this, washed down with glugs of Sauvignon Blanc. Classy.

I had a flashback this weekend that whilst in Cologne I'd noticed a lot of the girls were carrying bags by a company called George, Gina & Lucy. A quick google search took me to their site and I've falled utterly in love with their leather range (pics below) which includes 5 different styles in 4 colourways. Unfortunately they have no UK stockists although that's probably a good thing - have spotted them on a US site where some different leather styles are on sale for between $490-600! Ouch!

Junior Doctors (fascinating), Masterchef (loving the new format), Comic Relief: Famous, Rich & in the Slums (heartbreaking), The Model Agency (utterly horrendous but ever so slightly addictive!) and good old Take Me Out (Saturday night tv awesome-ness)

Andy worked Saturday morning to take advantage of the overtime so I busied myself with a trip to Primark and nabbed the following bits...

Black waist belt with gold metal trim £2

Pearly dove rings £2 - Teacup/teapot necklace £1.50 - Love earrings £1 - Anchor bow bracelet £2

Wicker bag £6

Taupe/gold bow bag £5

Until next weekend!
